Fardowsa Abdi, RSW, MSW

Social Worker & Therapist

I believe my role as a social worker and clinician is to meet my clients where they’re at on their healing journey and I aim to create a safe space for my clients and highly value my therapeutic relationships as they are vital to my practice.

My Story

Fardowsa has a passion for working with Black and racialized communities and has over a decade of experience working with individuals to overcome obstacles to personal development, housing and access to adequate healthcare.

She specializes in working from an anti-oppressive and anti-discriminatory framework where her
practice tends to be strength-based and client-centered.

Fardowsa believes her role as a social worker and clinician is to meet her clients where they’re at on their healing journey. She does this by providing a supportive listening ear and working collaboratively to mitigate the effects of depression and anxiety through therapeutic tools such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
