Individual Therapy

"Challenges are what makes life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.”
– Joshua J Marine.

We believe positive change happens in a warm and trusting relationship where you can feel safe to take risks and allow yourself to be seen.

There are many issues that we can work with our clients to help them overcome.  We assist our clients with managing depression, anxiety, and issues relating to low self esteem and self-worth.  We also can help with setting personal boundaries in your relationships, both at home and at work. If you are going through a life change, whatever your reason or challenge may be, we are here to help you through it!

Letting go of self-criticism is a common goal for all of us. We all have an inner critical voice which "tells us off" and saps our ability to feel good about ourselves. One of the goals of therapy can be to silence this inner critic and become much more self-compassionate.

As relational trauma therapists, we specialize in helping people who have experienced hurts or injuries in childhood and/or adult relationships.  If you recognize yourself as a survivor of trauma, you may notice that a part of you longs deeply for connection, while another part is very afraid to let others in. This results in various survival or coping strategies that you use to keep yourself safe, but which, in time, can backfire and create destructive patterns of behaviour.

“What makes you vulnerable makes you beautiful” - Brene Brown

If you are a survivor of trauma and seeking therapy, you’re on the right path! We believe the act of reaching out for help is the first step towards healing. We will encourage you to see yourself the way that we see you by reminding you of your strength and resilience as these are often the qualities we don’t see in ourselves.
